Solo Travel: Upcoming UK Edition

With 32 days to go before I fly off the to U.K., I’ve started going through what I will need. I always plan in advance like this, especially when I’m going for more than a couple of days. I try to make sure that I have all scenarios and all types of weather covered. I start looking at temperatures, events we’re attending, deciding which shoes to bring. Just today, I got some travel-size toothpaste and mouthwash. My list is in the works, and, per usual, my family thinks I’m crazy. I’m doing everything the same way that I usually do before I go on a trip overseas.

Everything except one detail.

I’m going by myself for the first time.

Now, I love to travel solo. I really do. I also love traveling with people, especially if we’re on a tour that keeps everyone organized and on time for things. There are also people that I travel really well with. My husband and I had some travel growing pains at first, but now have a great time together. He’s my favorite travel partner. Our trip to France and London last summer was the absolute best. It’s really nice to experience things with someone while on an adventure. On a tour, it’s great to have a permanent bus and dinner partner. It’s nice when someone has ideas about where to go and what to do. Husband and I spent a lovely three days by…
